Caio Magalhaes attempts a guillotine choke against Karlos Vemola.
Drawing and painting have always been an outlet I've used when expressing things that captivate and interest me. Fighting and martial arts especially influenced what I've drawn for as long as I can remember. When creating these paintings, I'm looking to draw from the excitement of the fights or fighters, and characterize them as I see them. My personal interest in watching fights lies in the spontaneity of them—at any moment anything can happen. So I try to keep my interpretations of the fighters as loose as possible, working through any accidents or mistakes, and working them into the final painting.
