Congratulations to Anthony Bourdain--celebrity chef, friend of the site, and husband to Fightland columnist Ottavia Bourdain--on receiving his first Brazilian jiu-jitsu stripe from Igor Gracie.
It seems like only yesterday that Bourdain was going through his first lesson for this site--gasping for air, struggling through 10 push-ups, falling in love with the Americana--and look at him now. No longer will he be bothered by the fact that his New York apartment has been turned into an ad hoc gym. No longer will he toss around his wife's grappling dummy with such disdain.
Good on you, Anthony!
